Womansong was founded in the spirit of women working and singing together, and is known for celebrating the unity, diversity and empowerment of women and serving the community to promote social change. Women Build encourages and empowers women to take action to address the problem of substandard housing by working together to build safe, decent, affordable housing. What a natural collaboration!

Since 1983, Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity has welcomed more than 180 Buncombe County families to safe, decent and affordable houses. Habitat homes, which are HealthyBuilt certified, are sold at no profit to partner families, who pay back a no-interest loan.
